Happy end of lockdown! We are proud to announce that we are back and open. Located at 9095 Avenue du Parc, we are open from 11 am to 7 pm Monday to Friday. Bored and looking for some entertainment? Come by the office! I promise that we have everything you need to be entertained. From fun staff to a variety of services, you will not be left disappointed. In case you need another reason to stop by the office, we have air conditioning. However, when you do stop by, please make sure to bring your mask with you as we do have a mandatory mask policy inside the building, as per the Quebec law.
With the post-lockdown opening, comes the launch of very many brand new services. Need a location for a photoshoot? We have PhotoBoxMTL, a photo studio which provides a great location for all your photo needs. We even have on site photographers so you don’t need to bring your own! Need album art, a logo, or promotional flyers? We have a graphic design team who can help you out. Are you an artist looking to build your professional portfolio? We offer an Electronic Press Kit (EPK) service where our skilled team will help you build your portfolio and help get you ready to put your name out there. Speaking of building your portfolio, we offer an Artist & Repertoire (A&R) service to help provide constructive feedback to new artists regarding their music. On top of all these brand new services mentioned above, we are also launching a brand new show called ‘Review Mondays’ where artists can submit their work to be reviewed by our skilled team of professionals. Our amazing panel of judges includes Kyle O’Shea (CEO of On a Roll Records/creative director), Etienne de Durocher (videographer), Dave Gogan (photographer), and Matt Sexton (A&R). This amazing team will listen to your content and provide feedback in order to help you improve your music and reach your full potential as an artist. After hearing about this amazing new show, you’re probably wondering how you can submit? It’s easy! All you have to do is head on over to the ‘Review Mondays’ section of the OAR website and fill out the form at the very bottom of the page. From there, you will be led to a page to submit all the information regarding your music such as genre, artist bio, and links to your songs or music videos. The only small catch however is that there will be a small fee of $25 in order to submit your material. But don’t worry it’s worth it! In case you need more incentive to submit, there’s a cash prize to be won! On top of the best-submitted songs and videos being aired on the show’s monthly episode, one lucky artist will win a $500 CAD cash prize to put towards their career. Doesn’t that sound amazing?
For those of you who already follow us on Instagram, you’ve probably noticed us posting a lot about Welcome Hall Mission. For those of you who don’t, you’re probably wondering what this is. Welcome Hall Mission, established in 1892, is an organization which helps at-risk Montrealers stay on their feet. Anywhere from homelessness, to young single mothers, struggling families, and at-risk youth, Welcome Hall Mission is there providing hope through practical acts and effective solutions. On a Roll Records is proud to announce that our very own Tuggras is part of the Welcome Hall Mission Phase 2 campaign. This campaign aims to raise awareness about these issues and remind the Montreal community that anyone can help.
